Like a ghostly silhouette,
our local "street prophet" helped out in
"cleaning" the nightclub. What a mess. Every Sunday
morning we'd come in to find those nasty leftover drinks filled
with cigars and cigarettes, drugs and paraphernalia, and even
people's clothing and jewelry :
Everything had to be
cleaned spotless each Sunday morning from 6:30am until 9:30 am
when church began. Even the bathrooms:
Business was not exactly
"picking up":
In a nightclub the
lighting isn't exactly the best for setting up food and drinks
early in the morning. But our team managed to find a way every
time beyond any diversity that would present itself:
This was not your normal bartending
job, Elizabeth. We were busting sandwiches and fresh fruit for the
homeless and drug kids that would show up for church every week:
I don't think it's scripture, but
it is true, the way to a man's heart........ We used food to help
"nourish" the needy in more ways than one:
